Dean Groom is currently streaming the SICTAS Symposium in Sydney via Ustream.TV (or at least he was – the feed seems to have gone down) via http://www.ustream.tv/channel/edtechshedtech
This is a very interesting use case of how a collection of different technologies can be combined to present a fairly cohesive view of a live event. In a post on his blog yesterday (“What To Broadcast About?“), Duncan Riley sent out an open request for feedback on an idea he’s been musing upon, saying:
“So I’ve been playing with Live streaming services and I want to do something more regular, but not 100% on what. I love what Chris Pirillo does, but the subject matter is a little tame for me. Open to suggestions, on topic, format and even streaming service of choice.”

Mashable ran a poll yesterday (“The Daily Poll: Live Video – Who Will Win?“) to gather reader opinions on the topic of which live streaming offering will come out ahead when the dust settles. Not unexpectedly, YouTube came out on top – by a MASSIVE amount (171 out of 234 votes, or 73%).
What is incredibly surprising though was what polled as number two: Someone Else.
