Yesterday I attended the regular UNFED group meeting, which was established some time ago to facilitate discussion amongst a University Network of Faculty Educational Developers. There is an amazing amount of interaction and collaboration taking place across the new media landscape these days, spanning a range of ideas, experiences, issues and opportunities related to the educational uses of emerging technologies to support learning and teaching. Happily there is an increasing presence of Sydneysiders amidst all this.

Last night through a series of tangents, I ran across a discussion paper prepared in 2007 by the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) covering the topic of blogging. Known as “Consultation Paper 1: Blogging: A consultation paper for ABC staff,” the document (page 4):
