MQUNCON09 Session Agenda: Open Learning Frameworks

Session Agenda: Open Learning Frameworks View more documents from Mike Bogle.

After a great deal of time spent thinking, rethinking, changing my mind, and changing my mind again about what I should include in the session I’m facilitating at tomorrow’s Technology in Learning and Teaching Unconference I think I’ve finally come to a resolution on the matter.

That being said, with only 30 minutes to work with – and yet an enormous amount of potential for discussion – I suspect I may be overly ambitious with what I’ve included here. However ultimately I’m going to work off of the other participants. I don’t see this session as being about me at all, it’s about us. And if we decide to diverge on a complete tangent during the session I’m happy to meander with the group.

I’ve also created an EtherPad document to help facilitate:

  • Collaborative note-taking
  • Inclusion of examples, references/tutorials and resources
  • Back-channel discussion
  • Identification of questions or topics for further discussion and debate

Unlike most wiki’s and online word processing programs like Google Docs, Etherpad supports synchronous editing by multiple people (up to 16 in fact). Jo Kay has indicated she’ll be setting the document up in-world at the Macquarie University space in SecondLife on the Islands of Jokaydia.
