In my line of work I need to have a solid grasp of all commonly-used applications, their idiosyncrasies and their affordances. This includes software I really don’t care to use from time to time (can you say “LMS”). So with Release Candidate 1 (RC1) of IE8 having just been released I’ve opted to install the browser and then take it for a brief – and I mean BRIEF – spin around the block.
