Eco-Safe: Save paper, share PDFs!

5 January 2009 No Comment

With thanks to Sarah Stewart for bringing this to my attention, I’ve just added a new tool to this blog called Eco-Safe, which enables you to quickly save PDF copies of the site content for offline viewing or storing.

Websites displaying the “ECO-SAFE Merit Badge” are providing environmentally friendly printing alternatives for their website visitors. As a collective group of people who use the Merit Badge, we are actively reducing the staggering number of web pages printed daily.

This clip provides an overview of the tool and a quick demonstration of how you can add it to your WordPress or Blogspot blog.

As it turns out, there is also a WordPress plugin as well (which I wasn’t aware of at the time I recorded this video). The plugin is available here: http://eco-safe.com/green/wordpress
