CRICOS is the Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses. UNSW is a CRICOS provider and has a code which it identifies itself by in advertisements - if you look on our ads you'll see "CRICOS Provider xxxxxx" (I forget the number right now). Not sure whether this applies to virtual islands or not, but I'd guess not!

Really, really, really DUMB question, but what is a CRICOS number? I've seen many people include them in their email signatures but have never bothered to ask what their purpose is.
