Hi Joost,

It seems to be the way of things these days. Virtual spaces definitely seem to be coming into the radar of educators these days. Many people had been exploring the possibilities for a while now of course, but the interest appears to have expanded outside the realm of the early adopters.

You and Anne and I all seem to be in the same boat with regards to investigating the educational efficacy of virtual spaces, perhaps we could share our findings via blog posts?

Given this blog is one of my primary research tools - at least insofar as information I can post publicly is concerned - I'll be using this for personal reflection and note taking anyway. So watch this space for other information in this vein :)

Cheers,

Thanks for this post. I am in the process of writing a paper for an online iinet conference on "What will school look like in the future?" eg 15-20 years time. So, some of you points and references will help even further. I think it is a great thought provoking subject and leads to the ideas of virtual desks, choosing where in the world you will learn each subject etc.
