Following on the post I wrote last night about Decka’s Deck, I wanted to pass along another example of a floating room. Found floating high above the Island of Svarga, the Ambipod is an immersive experience in its own right.
Access to the room is gained via what appears to be a transport couch located in the ground floor of the gorgeous building in the centre of the island. Just right-click on the couch and select sit, and then click again on the couch to start the journey upwards.

A comment by Artie on my last post reminded me that I’ve yet to write a post about Discussion Forums for our Facilitating Online Communities course. Essentially we are to locate a forum somewhere on the web, cite it in our blogs, and use the example to discuss the concepts of facilitation and communities with regards to forums.

I read a lot of different blogs – a whole lot of them in fact. I also comment on many of them. However I’ve found that in doing this it’s exceptionally difficult to remember what you said where, and to whom. Some times I’ll bookmark a specific post with the intent of returning later to follow up on the discussion, but this rarely happens in practice.
