Hi Sarah,

I don't know if there is a standalone Seesmic plugin in the works or not (I'll see what I can find out), however the Disqus tool I mentioned incorporates the Seesmic plugin as well as some additional functionality. So for Blogsopt users that's the easiest workaround I can suggest.

In the case of Disqus, you're effectively replacing the native Blogger commenting tool with a 3rd party one. In the same way that Seesmic video comments can be viewed either in the post or on the Seesmic site directly, readers who comment via Diqus can view and add comments directly from the Disqus site as well.

My other blog has this functionality included (as I said). This post gives a particularly good example of what the tool does:

"Health Issues and Old Age"

For reference here is the instance of the thread on the Disqus site:

"Health Issues and Old Age" on Disqus

Note that any comments added on the Disqus site show up on the Blogger site as well.

Hope that helps. If I can uncover any news about a Seesmic plugin for Blogger I'll be sure to let you know.

Cheers,

Mike
