		<description>Most services hit this kind of wall at some point in their life cycle. Hotmail did in 1997 or 1998. Friendster and Myspace have hit them multiple times.  Facebook came tantalizingly close in 2006.

Scrambling to fix problems usually causes mistakes and only exacerbate the problems. I&#039;d much rather Twitter calmly and logically work through the problems than try anything which breaks something incidental.</description>

		<description>Yeah, Twitter&#039;s outages have been more than annoying.  It&#039;s too bad that I&#039;ve become accustomed to not being able to Twitter from GTalk; they really had me hooked there for a while.  Plurk is interesting, but I agree...a little too quirky for my tastes.  It does have some nice features, though.  I&#039;m just going to sit back and see what my blogging circle settles on, then I&#039;ll probably follow suit.</description>
